CLAN BESTIARY
Unmutated Zombies
Male Zombie
25 Health Points
10 Damage per Hit
20 Experience
Fathers, sons, brothers, uncles, husbands, and friends who lost their lives in the early stages of the zombie outbreak. Naturally having more mass than their female counterparts, these zombies are more immune to knock-back and have a higher constitution.
Female Zombie
21 Health Points
8 Damage per Hit
18 Experience
Mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, wives, and friends who lost their lives in the early stages of the zombie outbreak. They retain no memories of their former lives and attack any and all humans, even ones with whom they shared their deepest connections with. Survivors who recognize their loved ones have had trouble killing them. Those that have say it's one of the darkest moments they have ever experienced.
Fat Male Zombie
34 Health Points
12 Damage per Hit
25 Experience
These are the strongest of all unmutated zombies that can be found near the outpost. Like the Female Fat Zombies, they are not knocked back or interrupted by weak weapons. Their bodies have a higher fat index than the average zombie, but there's a good bit of muscle to support it. These zombies can be thick bullet cushions, and take more ammo to bring down.
Fat Female Zombie
30 Health Points
10 Damage per Hit
25 Experience
Slightly weaker than the male fat zombie. Fat zombies are very resistant to knockback and weak hits such as a non-critical chainsaw or knife hit won't interrupt its attacks nor be able to stop them once they're coming for you. They are even more ravenous in their un-lives.
Special Zombies
Burned Male Zombie
80 Health Points
24 Damage per Hit
99 Experience
In the first weeks after the Outbreak it was still believed that immolation of the infected would destroy the virus. It was not until the first burned zombie sightings that the survivors realized fire makes the virus and its host more powerful.
Faster and more resistant version of regular zombies. Spawns in green zone and beyond.
Burned Female Zombie
70 Health Points
22 Damage per Hit
90 Experience
The female counterpart of the Burned Male Zombie. Although they are weaker, they can be more adapted to fire and appear in greater numbers... as the Burning Zombies
Faster and more resistant version of regular zombies. Spawns in green zone and beyond.
Irradiated Male Zombie
80 Health Points
24 (Vomit: 20) Damage per Hit
99 Experience
It is believed that this zombie was a burned zombie, but after eating many many humans, the digestive system in the zombie could not digest the food fast enough. Thus the body found that the only way to eject stomach acid and the leftovers of a meal was to shoot out of its mouth in deadly chunks of highly acidic stomach juice, occasionally the juice would also eject some charming parts of some unfortunate survivors.
This zombie is basically a burned zombie with a ranged attack. Ranged vomit attack reaches about 1.5 to 2x longest melee range. Spawns in green zone and beyond.
Irradiated Female Zombie
70 Health Points
22 (Vomit: 20) Damage per Hit
90 Experience
The female counterpart of the Irradiated Male Zombie. Slightly weaker and visibly smaller in size.
This zombie is basically a burned zombie with a ranged attack. Ranged vomit attack reaches about 1.5 to 2x longest melee range. Spawns in green zone and beyond.
Mutant Zombies
Siren
70 Health Points
0 Damage per Hit
180 Experience
Some scientists hypothesize that the N-4 virus exploited a certain genetic anomaly which caused a vestigial head to grow, along with powerful vocal chords to develop. It is a common belief among amateur scouts to think that these creatures are just benign passers-by. That is, until their shrill scream pierces the air and amasses a horde. So unless you want a horde to grind, it is recommended to either completely avoid them or simply make them a primary target.
It has no attack, but it has a summoning ability - it screams upon spotting a survivor, thus alerting and attracting zombies for blocks around. Sirens are only capable of one speed even when enraged. Spawns in yellow zone and beyond.
Bone
250 Health Points
50 Damage per Hit
315 Experience
Named for the bone-like protrusions from its body, the Bone was once a human with a strong skeletal structure and a defensive mindset. Its lean, muscled frame provides it the ability to maneuver more quickly than most of Fairview’s new bestiary. A weapon of any range is fine, as long as the user has the physical and mental proficiency to send this ghoul back to where it belongs.
Relatively fast and endurable. Due to its exoskeleton it is very resistant to stun and knock back. Melee users have a 50-50 to 95-5 chance of killing it, depending on his/her weapon, health, armor, etc. Spawns in yellow zone.
Reaper
200 Health Points
50 Damage per Hit
270 Experience
This mutant evolved from a human with a mid-size frame and a less than amiable disposition. Scouts' reports claim that these mutants originated from the area around Fairview's prison complex, north of Dogg's Stockade, suggesting that the prison's more aggressive inmates were among the first to become Reapers. The dominant arm of a Reaper is comprised of a massive razor-sharp blade. Long/mid-ranged combat is advised; survivors stupid enough to begin a battle with one of these creatures while using even the longest of blades are usually outdone by an even stupider monster with an even bigger blade.
A slow common enemy, his blade covers a wide, large area equivalent to 2x longest melee range in a large arc, and deals significant damage. Melee combat is highly unadvised, although it is possible to take these zombies down with melee if one has high enough skill to stay behind the Reaper (its only blind spot) long enough to kill it. Spawns in the yellow zone.
Tendril
235 Health Points
70 Damage per Hit
360 Experience
Once an ordinary female infected, the N-4 virus mutated its unfortunate victim into a figure that looks like it walked out of a nightmare. Its moniker is derived from the meter-long tentacles that have replaced its arms and are used as long-ranged defensive mechanism. This abomination is exceptionally deadly due to its heightened senses, unearthly reflexes, and ludicrous speed. Close-quarters combat isn't impossible, but it is not recommended. It is not uncommon for a survivor to be eviscerated before his weapon can be drawn against it.
Painfully fast, and its deadly tentacles span as long as the longest melee. Despite having a long melee attack, the attack is very narrow which always leaves the option of simply sidestepping rather than strafing. High agility is recommended if the Tendril is to be engaged in hand-to-hand combat, and even then extreme caution is advised. Those tentacles are longer than they look! Spawns in orange zone and beyond.
Spider
300 Health Points
40 Damage per Hit
405 Experience
The host of the virus must have been incredibly flexible and naturally dexterous to become a Spider. The N-4 mutation resulted in two extra pairs of arms, allowing the Spider to be among the fastest mutants encountered. These extra appendages also serve to lower the Spider's center of gravity, which makes these fiends impervious to weapon "knock-back". Spiders use their forelimbs to claw at survivors, but they evolved to be agile, not powerful. Close combat is only advised under the condition that the survivor is quick enough to evade these blows and attack from behind. Weapons with large spread or rapid fire rate are most advocated, because they leave no room for error.
Painfully fast in straight lines, greatly resistant to knockbacks and stuns but incapable of making narrow turns and capped at a large collision size, which creates the opportunity to outmaneuver the beast in close ranged combat. Unlike other zombies, it will go straight from its calm state into its enraged state upon spotting a survivor. Spawns in orange zone and beyond.
Small Brute
100 Health Points
20 (Explosion: 20) Damage per Hit
120 Experience
This class of mutants is generally thought to be the immature form of the larger Brutes around Precinct 13 and Fort Pastor. Like their larger 'relatives', Small Brutes are fat, slow, and have a low damage threshold. Small Brutes always explode upon death and release a blast of gastric acid and bone shards that can mortally wound any survivor who finds himself within its radius. Obviously, using melee against these beasts is not a wise decision, unless the blows are sparse and followed by a bullet.
Explodes upon death. The blast radius is comparable to that of a grenade launcher. Close quarters combat is unadvised. If you don't have ammo, run. Run like hell unless you want to die. Once you're a good distance away, loot until you have ammo. Then you can kill them if you want to. Some dusk razor users have a hard killing these fat blobs. Spawns in yellow zone.
Brute
200 Health Points
40 (Explosion: 40) Damage per Hit
360 Experience
One of the larger infected that ambles the streets of Fairview, the Brute is more than capable when push comes to shove. Unlike other infected, which actively hunt out survivors to feast on, Brutes are more commonly seen scavenging off of the numerous corpses that litter the streets. If provoked the Brute will relentlessly pursue fresh meat. Despite its intimidating size, the Brute is in reality surprisingly weak and laughably slow. Its bloated appearance is due to the buildup of methane gas within its body cavities (whether by the decomposing flesh of its diet or the result of N-4 mutations isn't clear, but some have speculated that it is a combination of both). Like their smaller counterparts, Brutes have been known to violently explode when slain, showering its aggressor with shards of bone and gastric acid. This consequence may be avoided with a few melee hits and a well placed pistol shot.
Explodes upon death. The blast radius is comparable to that of a grenade launcher. Close quarters combat is unadvised. If you don't have ammo, run. Run like heck unless you want to die. Once you're a good distance away, loot until you have ammo. Then you can kill them if you want to. Spawns in orange zone and beyond.
Bloat
400 Health Points
30 (Vomit: 40) Damage per Hit
585 Experience
The N-4 pandemic was not the first pandemic in recorded history; the obesity pandemic has plagued millions since the dawn of man. Because of this, a protective adipose tissue layer has given the Bloat the ability to take more hits than a normal infected. And like all its other obese peers, it has the ability to dynamically eject its stomach contents, including caustic hydrochloric acid. Despite its relatively slow speed, long-ranged combat is seen as more useful than close/mid-ranged combat.
Ranged vomit attack reaches about 2.5 to 3x longest melee range. Vomit reaches significantly farther than irradiated zombies. Spawns in orange zone and beyond.
Leaper
400 Health Points
N/A Damage per Hit
585 Experience
Survivors coming back from the deeper parts of the city have brought rumors of a hideous creature. While some of these explorers argued that the proper name must be the 'Licker' (due to its tongue-whip attack) the 'Leaper' has become the name generally accepted in Fairview society. The Leaper sports a warped skeletal and muscular structure, rendering it only capable of walking with an awkward gait. The Leaper's muscles are tightly-packed, providing it with unrivaled constitution. The Leaper's tongue is perhaps its most striking feature, measuring anywhere from 3 to 6 feet in length (1-2 meters). Its hands, however, are even more feared, packing enough force to puncture through even the strongest of armors with deadly precision. Nonetheless, some of the braver survivors have suggested that melee combat with this cumbersome beast is better than ranged, as its slow speed makes it easy to avoid.
The Leaper is slow and easy to outmaneuver, but extreme caution cannot be stressed enough as the Leaper can and will deliver a one hit kill if you are within its range. Leapers are capable of only one speed even when enraged. Spawns in orange zone and beyond.
Super Mutant Zombies (Boss)
Burning Zombie
2,500 Health Points
40 Damage per Hit
2,700 Experience
In the early days of the outbreak, fire was used to burn the bodies of the infected in hopes of eradicating the virus, however it only made things worse. Once set aflame, the N4 virus begins to rapidly mutate the host, continually repairing the damaged tissue; resulting in a faster, angrier, enemy. They share the same speed as a Tendril, and it takes much longer to bring them down due to its extreme boost in health. Their attack range isn't any different than the Average Infected, which means that no special tactics are necessary.A faster, stronger charred zombie. Usually sprints when they are encountered, they sometimes walk aimlessly on very rare occasions. Spawns in the yellow zone and earlier. Most effective way to take them down is to have them on the other side of a fence.
Titan
7,500 Health Points
80 Damage per Hit
13,500 Experience
A cousin to the Behemoth, this zombie is much more stronger that anything before it. One hit is often all it takes for the Titan's mighty arms to kill anyone unfortunate enough to be mauled by the fist. The virus, mixed with a rare gene, changed the zombie's bones into something stronger than a concrete wall, so the Titan can receive many punishing hits before finally perishing. Named after the titans that fought the Greek gods. The survivors, unfortunately, have no skill in god-like powers.
An even bigger, faster, stronger Bone Zombie. Despite his size in general, the Titan's appearance itself has been known to scare off most of Fairview's survivors. Spawns in green/yellow/orange zones.
Burning Titan
15,000 Health Points
150 Damage per Hit
20,250 Experience
Somehow, the fire makes the Titan even stronger as the remaining characteristics still stay the same. Scientists hypothesize that the fire caused the virus to accelerate and mutate the bones into something even more formidable. The fire also increases the damage this zombie does because of the extreme heat radiating off of the Titan. Fairview's scouts that have encountered this creature all die. Some are ripped to shreds by the Titan's claws. Other's are crushed under the sheer weight and mass of the Titan's charge. This beast makes the normal titan look like a child's plaything.
A faster, stronger and more durable variation of the Titan.Use all above tactics and extreme caution. Spawns in green/yellow/orange zones.
Mother
7,500 Health Points
80 (Vomit: 80) (Explosion: 50) Damage per Hit
13,500 Experience
This monstrosity was once a healthy woman in the later stages of pregnancy. The N-4 virus unsparingly fused both mother and fetus, as if to further mock the sanctity of life. Taller than most of your average zombies, the mother possesses two pairs of powerful arms, tipped with sharp talons, and a large, gaping maw in the midst of her stomach that spews gastric acid in a ranged attack. Despite her size and her range, the mother is slow, even when aggressive or injured.
Ranged vomit attack reaches about 3x longest melee range. Explodes upon death. The explosion blast radius is comparable to that of a grenade launcher. Close quarters combat is unadvised, but possible. Mothers are only capable of one speed even when enraged. Spawns in green/yellow/orange zones.
Burning Mother
15,000 Health Points
150 (Vomit: 150) (Explosion: 100) Damage per Hit
20,250 Experience
Some survivors (mostly the less sane ones) find the existence of a Burning Mother mutation funny and somewhat ironic... until they are forced to engage one in combat. While still slow and easy to outmaneuver, her ranged attacks are deadly for any survivor who loses focus even for the smallest amount of time.
A faster, stronger and more durable variation of the Mother. Ranged vomit attack reaches about 3x longest melee range. Explodes upon death. The explosion blast radius is comparable to that of a grenade launcher. Close quarters combat is unadvised. Mothers are only capable of one speed even when enraged. Spawns in green/yellow/orange zones.
Giant Spider A.K.A GS
15,000 Health Points
80 Damage per Hit
20,250 Experience
While all agreed on how these zombies had gotten into this stage of mutation, not all of these people could agree on how they could have grown so exponentially. It is hypothesized that the N-4 virus mutated the pituitary gland to excrete vast amounts of the Human Growth Hormone, the same mutation that might be found in Titans and Wraiths. Again, the same strategy could be used with the small version, as neither of the theories of its genesis improved its intelligence.
An even bigger, stronger, faster spider. Contrary to the smaller version, the GS is affected most by knockback in its category. Spawns in yellow zone and beyond. Unless aggro is low, melee is unadvised
Burning Spider
30,000 Health Points
150 Damage per Hit
40,500 Experience
This insanely fast enemy is one of the toughest, if not THE toughest, N4 mutant in Fairview. While fuel was still available and vehicles could be operated, there were reports from scouts that these monstrosities are able to outrun and devastate a moving car in a matter of few seconds. The unwary survivor will die just as they lived.
A faster, stronger and more durable variation of the Giant Spider. Similar to the GS, it is heavily affected by knockback, but not as serious. Spawns in yellow zone and beyond. Only with a good melee weapon, the sufficient stats to use it, and low aggro, is melee even worth recognizing as an option to battle this beast.
Wraith
15,000 Health Points
80 Damage per Hit
20,250 Experience
Also known as "The Destroying Angel" the Wraith is the archetype of all female mutants. The Wraith is perhaps the least mentally affected by the mutations of N-4, allowing it to retain its premortem mental acuity. Because her tentacles extend enough to handle all combat distances, survivors need a massive amount of firepower, speed, endurance, and strategy to defeat this eerie remainder of humanity’s best.
An even bigger, faster, stronger tendril Zombie. She is a massive enemy with massive tentacles spanning as long as the width of streets, which could swing unpredictably and damage anyone on her wing side. Close quarters combat is extremely unadvised, but possible (single player mode w/ low aggro).Spawns in yellow zone and beyond.
Burning Wraith A.K.A The Nightmare of Fairview
30,000 Health Points
150 Damage per Hit
40,500 Experience
If Wraiths are giving Anime viewers nightmares, then the Burning Wraith nightmare must be the worst of them. Be sure you're prepared before you try to extinguish one. Some survivors claim that they have fired thousands of rounds into this beast, only to find themselves equipped with a pocket knife as their only usable weapon, far away from the sanctity of an outpost with an enraged and still breathing Burning Wraith still on their back...
A faster, stronger and more durable variation of the Wraith. She is a massive enemy with massive tentacles spanning as long as the width of streets, which could swing unpredictably and damage anyone on her wing side. She can ravage a team in seconds. Close quarters combat is without a doubt extremely unadvised ! Spawns in yellow zone and beyond.
